Today we went to a USGS Gauging Station along the Colorado River.
Here is a picture of the site and the river.
A nice man (sorry can’t remember his name) from USGS took the time to explain to us what he does when checking gauging stations along rivers.
Here is his truck next to the gauging station.
At this particular site, the stage of the river, the specific conductivity, temperature, velocity, total dissolved solids, suspended solids, pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity are measured.
So we took our own measurements while we were there.
